I still have a fondness for print design. It's how I got my start and looking back on it, it's really where I developed a love for experience design. We used to sit with piles of paper samples, looking for the right feel that would support the design. Adding embossing, rounded edges, folding or playing with unexpected sizes.

Experience is inherent to the process - so much so that you don't think of it as a separate skill or discipline.
